to a network designed specifically for you

The New Hampshire Women in Higher Education Leadership (NHWHEL) network is a diverse group that welcomes women at all levels and at each stage in their careers.

NHWHEL promotes women's leadership in higher education and throughout society as a whole; supports the creation of an educational, social, and political climate in which women participate equally with men in the workplace and in setting public agendas; and fosters effective partnerships with organizations that pursue shared goals.

Many thanks to all our NHWHEL members and guests for a wonderful Fall Reception.

Webinar:"So You Want to be a Leader? How to Prepare Yourself for a Leadership Role in Higher Education"

Assuming a leadership role in any organization can be a difficult task, but as with many things in higher education, assuming a leadership role in academia can have its own unique challenges. In this webinar, Lucy Leske, managing partner of Witt/Kieffer’s higher education practice, will review several important factors in preparing yourself to take on a high-level position in an academic environment. She’ll discuss what organizations and committees expect from leaders today, and how to map your competencies, strengths, and gaps against the position requirements. She’ll also provide details on how to build on your strengths and bring your weaknesses up to adequate, as well as how to demonstrate leadership ability in an interview setting.
