Anne earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration from Colby-Sawyer College. She is chairman of the Board of Trustees, a position she was elected to in 2003 and has been a trustee of the college for 18 years. She has also served her alma mater in a variety of other capacities including: president of the Alumni Association, member of the Task Force on Coeducation, co-chair of the college's successfully completed $40 million capital campaign, member of the search committee for the seventh president, and chairman the search committee for the current and eighth president, Thomas C. Galligan, Jr.
To honor Anne for her dedicated service to Colby-Sawyer, she was awarded the Susan Colgate Cleveland Medal for Distinguished Service in 1990, the college's highest award. In 2000, Anne was awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award to recognize her for years of volunteerism and fund-raising on behalf of non-profit organizations.
Anne is the former president of the Board of The Cobb School, Montessori in Simsbury, Connecticut and currently serves as a trustee. She is also a trustee of the Ethel Walker Charitable and Education Foundation in Simsbury.
Professionally, Anne is a major gift officer and stewardship coordinator at Avon Old Farms School, a college preparatory high school for boys in Avon, Connecticut. In addition, she has worked as an independent educational fundraising consultant since 1998. She previously served in several development-related management positions at The Ethel Walker School, including director of Institutional Advancement.
